Tuve el honor de participar una vez más en la revista “La Murciélaga”. Ésta vez, con una portada sobre las Invasiones Inglesas en el Río de la Plata (1806-1807). La ilustración es un homenaje al famoso cuadro de Eugène Delacroix “La Libertad guiando al pueblo” (1830), e inspirado en una obra de Segundo Moyano, que se utilizó para hacer la tapa de la historieta “1806 – Invasión” (editada por Dibutopía). La mujer del centro es la representación de Manuela Pedraza, “la tucumanesa”.
I was honored to participate once again in the magazine “La Murciélaga“. This time, with a cover about “British invasions of the Río de la Plata (1806-1807)”. The illustration is also an homage to Eugène Delacroix’s famous painting “Liberty Leading the People” (1830), and very influenced by a piece of argentinean artist Segundo Moyano, which was used to make the cover of the comic book “1806 – Invasion” (edited by Dibutopía). The woman in the middle is the representation of Manuela Pedraza, “the tucumanesa“. (That means, she was born in Tucuman province, Argentina).
